Late afternoon light is a ghost.
It grazes eyelashes
and pours its stark light
over skyscrapers
like a battle-worn soul
asserting its presence
over the shadows.

This was taken on a late afternoon in the winter with the Sony A99 on the top of Rockefeller Center overlooking the Empire State Building and the skyscrapers of midtown Manhattan.
